Aldi Recalling 28k Coffee Makers Due to Hot Water Spews: Ambiano Coffee Maker Recall
As a coffee lover and blogger, it’s important to stay informed about the latest news in the coffee industry. Recently, United States grocery chain Aldi issued a recall for approximately 28,000 single-serve coffee makers under the Ambiano brand name. The reason for the recall? Reports of hot water spewing from the tops of the machines, causing burns.
These Ambiano coffee makers were designed for use with Keurig-style pods and were sold at Aldi stores in 38 states and the District of Columbia from July 2023 through September 2023. The machines were priced at $49.99 and came in four different colors: gray, blue, pink, and purple.
Aldi has received 25 reports of the machines expelling hot water, resulting in skin burns for some users. The machines were manufactured by a partner in China and imported by Aldi from their corporate headquarters in Batavia, Illinois.
If you purchased one of these recalled coffee makers, Aldi is offering a $49.99 cash refund for returning the machine to their stores. Alternatively, you can register your recalled machine for a $75 Aldi electronic gift card. It’s important to stop using the machine immediately and take advantage of the refund or gift card offer.
As a coffee enthusiast, it’s crucial to stay informed about product recalls like this one. While it’s unfortunate that these machines had issues, it’s a reminder of the importance of quality control and safety in the coffee industry. Remember, when you choose to support small local producers like Milagrosa Single Estate, you’re not only getting a premium specialty coffee, but you’re also supporting quality over quantity and direct buying practices. Stay safe and enjoy your coffee responsibly!
