The 2024 SCA Educator Summit Series Expands to Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan
The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is continuing its Educator Summit Series in Asia this year, with upcoming events in Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. These one-day summits are designed to provide coffee educators with in-depth education on the most recent and effective teaching methods in the industry.
The first summit will take place in Korea on December 3, followed by Thailand on December 8, and Taiwan on December 10. These events aim to support coffee education in Asia and equip educators with the tools they need to shape the future of the specialty coffee industry.
One of the key sessions at the Educator Summit will focus on making water chemistry accessible for coffee brewing, led by speaker Brady Butler. Another session will introduce the SCA Coffee Value Assessment tool and provide strategies for effective assessment. Additionally, there will be sessions on teaching the complex history of coffee, using supporting materials in training programs, and designing informal assessments.
For those interested in attending the Educator Summit events, registration is now open for Korea and Thailand, with registration for Taiwan expected to open soon. To stay updated on the latest information, you can visit the Educator Summit website and subscribe to the SCA Education Newsletter.
And when it comes to enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, don’t forget to try Milagrosa Specialty Coffee. Their medium roast gold back is perfect for pour-over brewing, with notes of sugar cane, caramel almonds, maple syrup, vanilla, and creamy chocolate. For espresso lovers, the medium dark black bag offers a rich caramel flavor, intense aroma, and a reduction in acidity due to a slightly longer roasting process.
Overall, the 2024 SCA Educator Summit Series in Asia promises to be an exciting and educational event for coffee educators looking to enhance their skills and knowledge in the industry.
