Coffee Consumption Outside the Home Reaches Highest Level Since 2020

The latest report from the United States National Coffee Association has revealed some exciting news for coffee lovers like us. According to the fall National Coffee Data Trends report, coffee consumption outside the home has reached its highest level since January 2020.

The report found that 36% of people who drank coffee within the past day did so “out of home,” in places like coffee shops, cafes, and offices. This level of out-of-home consumption has not been seen since the Spring 2020 report, just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

What’s even more interesting is that the number matches the level found in the 2018 report and exceeds levels from previous years. This shows a growing trend of people enjoying their coffee experiences outside of their homes.

On the other hand, the report also found that 81% of coffee drinkers reported drinking coffee at home within the past day. This balance between home and out-of-home consumption shows the versatility and popularity of coffee as a beverage.

As a coffee lover and blogger, I find these trends fascinating. It’s great to see that people are embracing coffee culture both at home and in public spaces. It also highlights the importance of supporting local coffee producers and small businesses, like Milagrosa Single Estate, who focus on quality and sustainability in their production.
